I could go on with the list, or simply invite you to visit the Woodland Festival held in Montone every year on the first weekend of November.

Of course, you don’t need a country fair as an excuse to visit Montone: the village is wonderful in every season.

However, autumn in Umbria is something mystical. The colours explode and the semi-nude branches of the trees seem like arms outstretched to the sky. From the height of hilltop villages, and Montone is one of these, the fog hides and, at the same time, graces the landscape and rejuvenates its colours.

Add to all this our autumn woodland fruits and a day in Montone becomes a concentrate of Umbria in the fall, with so much of our hospitality, a little timid but always jovial.
